Nicholas qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1992. He trained specifically on property management and has been involved in all aspects of Residential Leasehold Management or Block Management since 1994. He became a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1999. In his previous businesses he has been actively involved with the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA) and was a founding Member of the Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM).
As well as being actively involved in all areas of residential management including substantial mixed use, multi-tenure schemes of over 1,000 properties, Nicholas occasionally lectures at Portsmouth University on Leasehold Management, and specifically litigation through the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal.
Nicholas is the MYP industry specialist, able to knowledgeably interpret and communicate changes as they occur, to help Property Directors fulfil their duties and responsibilities.
Ben graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of London, and began his business career with Bayer, the international chemical and pharmaceutical company. He moved into the IT sector in the early 1980s, and he has been involved in electronic document management since the middle of that decade. He has held sales director roles with innovative leading companies in that sector, including Anite, Spescom Software, Enterprise Informatics and Safe4 Information Management. He has been responsible for sales and business development management in the UK, Europe, the USA and South Africa.
With MYP, Ben is responsible for identifying and delivering technologies that support the effective provision of the MYP service.
Paul graduated with a BA in Business Studies and has since been involved in Sales and Marketing positions in a number of different business sectors – engineering, water, vehicle leasing and supply, estate agency and computer software.
For his sins, Paul also owned a flat and was soon co-opted as a Director of a Residential Management Company, initially as Minutes Secretary and ultimately fulfilling the role of Chairperson. A number of large complex projects were delivered in these years – a new roof, driveway and walling, a fire alarm system as a result of changes in legislation, and both external and internal redecoration projects.
Based on his many years’ RMC experience, Paul is now on a mission to ensure through the use of MYP that other property Directors obtain and share as much information as possible, as efficiently as possible, and with as little effort as possible!
